I recently purchased a kershaw blur in s30v steel. I am very pleased with my purchase, my question is should I upgrade to a zero tolerance 200. Are they worth twice as much and is 154 cm a downgrade in s30v. I apologise is this is a stupid question to ask.

Hell yes you should upgrade. I honestly like 154cm over s30v because 154cm takes a rediculous edge so easy and in normal use you won't see a difference in edge holding. The zt0200 that I have is just so smooth and for a knife its size its carries so well. The 0200 is in a whole different league than the blur. It makes the blur look like a gentleman's folder. Plus if your worried about lock strength, don't be the liners are as thick as the lock bar on the frame lock leeks/shallots

If you're happy with the Blur, stay with it. It's a superb knife for the money, and then some. I like ZT knives, but buying one to replace an already great knife seems silly. If you want one to use sometimes and use the Blur as well, go for it. Nothing wrong with different blades.

Y'all we're supposed to give me a reasons to buy a zero tolerance not convince me the blur is good enough

Its up to you wether its worth it, honestly. The blur will last you a long long time so you dont really need it but want is a whole different thing. I have a zt 0350 but cant comment on 0200. All the zt's i have are fantastic knives with a good fnf and are pretty much perfect. 154cm is a solid steel that i would have no problem with at all, and wouldnt mind having over s30v. I dont have any 154cm knives but thats just because of model preference.

Are there any other quality solid folders yall would recommend.

You may hear this alot on the forum, the spyderco para 2 is like a must have to find out wether you like it or not. I swear that if you start to buy some knives it is one you will have eventually.

The bm griptillian is a solid knife based on reviews, i had one for a while but did not like the handle material. Benchmades are all solid knives and great quality.

Also check out the zt 0550, i love this knife and you can find it for around 150 on the forum.

These are just three extremely popular knives for good reason.

If you like the Blur, try the ZT350 as it's really just a beefier version of the same knife. That's what I did and sold the Blur within a month and bought a second 350. Then I got my hands on a ZT 550 and sold both 350s in no time flat to buy a second 550.

Nothing wrong with any of them, just finding newer and (for me) better solutions.

Well then I guess we'll hear from you in about 5 years when you finally manage to 'wear out' that blur. Those things are pretty tough to break while doing knife-worthy tasks.
