I just got a new knife from Home Depot that was $3 something and thought I'd make a review on it on youtube :) If you guys have the same knife, I'd like to hear what you have to say about it!

My YouTube channel is "BudgetKnifeReviews" if you're interested :)

Ahh...I might use a grinder then! And thanks for the link, I'll use that next time if I need to haha

Can't believe I got a dislike already, wish the person told me why he or she disliked it.

there we go...removed the dislike. :D

Next time you make a review, let us know your personal thoughts and observations and do a little research as well. People want to know what someones experience with the knife is, not the facts off the box.
Anyways, good job on your first review.I might have gotten bored and accidentally pressed the dislike button :o

Thanks for the input :) I guess I was just to rushed in putting up a review and didn't think about what the viewers would like.
I'll be sure to do better next time ;)

Thanks for the review man. Definitely do a follow up review after carrying and using the knife for a while. If possible, try zooming in on the knife too.

Will do :) I'll be carrying the knife around with me as part of my EDC for a week and see how it is and feels.
And you're welcome, I'm glad I can help you in some way!

Well, good job. At least, you've done one more knife review than I have...
I hope you enjoy the knife.

My advice to you is save your money and buy better quality budget knives. That Spyderco you had in your video is a much better knife than that Sheffield. It may have only been $4 or $5, but if you keep buying those it will add up. Do a little research here on the forums and you'll be much better off. There are many threads on quality budget knives here. Quality over quantity is best in my opinion.

Thanks amen74, I'll keep that in mind. I meant to pick up this other knife made by Coast that had some good reviews, even though it was only $7, but I ended up with this $3 knife because they didn't have it. But yea, I agree with you all the way :)

I've used Sheffields and Appalachian Trail and all those other hardware store brands, and found that you pretty much get what you pay for. No disappointments but no sweet deals. They all typically have pivots that are a little too stiff, lock geometry that isn't very well implemented and causes play and extreme wear (expect the lockbar to be all the way to the right after a wrist snap or a couple months of use), centering isn't even a concern as it'll be off center and rub potentially out of the box if not after a couple of cycles, the steel will take an edge and hold it for a while but won't match AUS8 most times.

If you want a knife right away or you want to give someone a knife that you know will be lost or broken fairly quickly, they're great options. If you have time to shop online and want something excellent, you buy something and somewhere else. Good enough for almost everyone but us snobs.
