theres a benchmade eclipse knife for sale do you guys think it is worth buying? i might buy a zytel flash 2 to compliment my graphite flash 2

I own a zytel Flash II and I carry it every day. I think its a great knife, it has seen extensive use and hasn't let me down yet. The benchmade eclipse IIRC is a lockback which will make it pretty near impossible to operate 1 handed . Due to the fact that my flash could handle just about anything I threw at it, plus the fact that it has S.A.T, I think I would get the Flash II.;)

P.S. I'm biased towards SOGs, I'm sure there are those of differing opinions.;)

i already have a graphite aluminium flash 2 , its just that i don`t want to ruin its excellent looks. thats why i`m gonna buy a zytel handled flash 2 to use as a daily carry. i was just wondering if people thought benchmade knives were any good

Yeah, Benchmade knives are good, but in general, they are in a totally different price range than SOG. Those that are not in a different price range are probably not of any noticeably higher quality.:)

I just purchased a GraphiteTanto Flash II. It should be here Friday. I also preordered one of the new SOG Tech Bowie fixed blades. I'm very excited!

The one thing I've noticed with the Benchmade Axis lock system is when the blade is in the open position, it is very easy(almost to easy) to release the blade by use of the sliding button. I'm not bashing Benchmades products, they make fantastic production folders, I just wish they would lengthen the axis lock button travel to the lock position. Several of the ones I've owned and others I've held all have the same problem. If you barely move the slide release backwords and push on the top of the blade...it's closing. This CAN be knocked off very easily, I've done it. :(
