New knife

Okay, just got my first of this family, a new Scrapper 6. I would like to know your guys' opinions on sharpening knives from the Busse/Swamp Rat/Scrap Yard family.
Your techniques, equipment, etc. I know I'm going to need to sharpen it eventually, but I want to do it right the first time. Thanks.

If you have successfully sharpened knives before now, then there is really no reason you should not be able to sharpen this new one. The knives may have near mythical properties () but you don't need magic to maintain them.

To clarify, I have never sharpened a convex edge, unless I just put a regular bevel on it.
That's my worry.
