New knife

That's a nice knife! I was watching that for a while, as I don't have one of those yet, but it went a bit higher than I was willing to go on it.

Great find, delmas -

My dad gave his dad an identical knife in the early 1960's, and it was granddad's favorite for years. Found it in granddad's fishing box after he died. Dad gave it to me; ours is in much worse shape, but I know a lot of the (sometimes VERY funny) stories that go with it.

Great knives, under-rated IMHO. I made an old one from Camillus my EDC for a long time, and loved it. I'd have no problem going back to that one if I had to.

Del. good knife ! i have a few of these (735 & 735L) as well as a few by Camillus (and others, current RR version is excellent at ~ $15).
yours has been sharpened with blade loss and Delrin handle has shrunk and been patched. but most are like this. i.e. it is such a good knife that they got lots of use.
main issue is with spike lock. if it's working, it's very strong, but probably in about 1/2 of these used ones the lock no longer works. but you can hold the bail back against the open spike with your thumb and "lock" it that way. roland

lucky in the fact that the lock still works perfectly, which is why i was willing to go so high on it. i have another one which some dolt ruined in my eyes by etching his name on it.
