Here is my newest handmade knife that I made for my youngest son. He is 12, but I made it to fit my hand so he could grow into it. The shape is what I consider a utility design.
A2 tool steel hardened and tempered to 56RC. Overall length is about 8 1/2" and 3/16" thick. Scales are Black and Silver Dymondwood with brass pins. Finish is polished, flat saber ground, and razor sharp.
You can see my beautiful wife in the spine in the above picture. It is a beefy knife, but very comfortable and controllable.
There is a flaw in the middle pin. I broke my own rule and drilled twice. I offered my son to remove and redo the scales, but he was in love with it and told me not to.
