Hi there everyone, i'm brand new here.
I've recently decided i want to get a new knife but im not sure what to get. I dont want to spend a massive amount, i was looking at the new SOG Creed but it really doesnt jump out at me as much as the Tigershark did when i bought it.

Any advice?

Thanks

Welcome.
I see the Creed is a relatively large fixed blade.
You'll get better answers if you provide more information.
To what use will you put this? duties, environment.
How long a blade are you wanting?
Have a preference for stainless or will a carbon blade be ok?

Depends what you consider a "massive amount" - I suggest you save your money and get something from CRK, BM or Spyderco (although I'm sure you'll get recommendations for other tier-one USA brands)

Although a fixed blade may seem really cool, start with a folder you can always have with you. You'll use and enjoy it more unless you camp or such a lot.

SOG (in my opinion) has some nice designs, but many aren't as good of a value as I'd like. I've been completely sucked in to Spyderco knives right now, and if you'll give their weird looks a chance I'm sure you'll find them extremely useful and well designed.

The Spyderco Delica, Native, Tenacious, and now the new FRN Stretch would all be good places to start. I'm a huge fan of Spyderco's Salt series as well.

To be honest its more for collective value that real good use, i have a the SOG seal 2000 and use that on my uncle's farm for work and for hunting as well.
I like to keep my others in good condition.
I want to get another fixed blade unless there is a great folder around.
So far i have a few CRKT knives which are all folders. I also have some Cold steel folders, SOG folders like the Pentagon and Flash Tanto and a Ka-bar fixed blade.

I have a photo but i cannot figure out how to post it.

Thanks for all the fast replies!
