Well my Mili was just stolen recently and it leaves me without and EDC. That being said before I jump and just buy another Mili I want to know what else is out there that may be worth trying out. I like Bigger EDC knives 4-4.25n blade and are overbuilt. Tip up carry thumb hole, titanium liner or frame locks. No recurve blades because they are a pain to resharpen. Got about 450$ I am willing to spend

I don't really have any tip up folders in that price range. I do have some tip down folders that close to the specs and price range you're looking for.
1) Chris Reeves Sebenza 21
2) Chris Reeves Umnumzaan
3) Three Sisters Forge 'The Beast'

The only tip up knife I have that meets your specs would be a Zero Tolerance 0200. It is a little under your price range. Another knife I really love but that isn't as pricey is an original Kershaw Random Task. I have one of the first ones put out in left hand. It isn't quite as beefy as the others but it's one of my favorites. Happy hunting!

I have owned an Umnumzaan (which is a tip up carry knife) Its a sweet blade but I like the flat ground blade a bit more than the hollow grind that CRK puts on his knife The blade is also a tad short on that one.

Crap I had that exactly the opposite. The first 3 are tip up, the ZT and the Random Task are tip down. My bad. Dyslexia or something.

I don't think I'l lbe of much help but the most limiting factor on your criteria is the thumb hole. Maybe a BM Onslaught. No Ti liner, though. Also way under your price range so you should either check out customs or but the Onslaught and give me $300.

XM24 is way out of my price range lol, I think its an amazing knife though and will one day own one but no time soon 450 is the max I can afford to spend at the moment. The Onslaught is a cool knife but has a pretty thing blade and an axis lock instead of a liner/frame lock. Anything else out there if the thumbhole becomes a non issue. Finally any custom makers you can recomend. I am a big fan of Mikkel Willumsen and Jens Anso but they arnt taking orders and their resale is way beyond my cash flow.

I'd go with Hinderer too if money was no object.

Sorry, when I read the OP I stupidly didn't realize Ti liner meant the lock.

Well, nothing at all wrong with a Spyderco Military. However, you can always try and have a custom built to your own design for under that dollar amount. I'm on a wait list with Alan Davis (BF member) and his quality is great and prices are very reasonable.

Or, see what Arizona Custom Knives or other custom dealers have to offer.

any maker recomendations I have already said that I am a fan of Anso and Mikkel do any of the forum guys make knives of similar styles and quality?

Man that really sucks that your knife got stolen. Hope you are able to get it back down the road. I like the design on the Mili Titanium model C36TIF with the fluted handle. It looks soo cool. Well, all the Mili's are good looking blades. I would say to stick with a Mili ;)

I'm sure one of the guys can make you a "custom milli". You know, everything you like about it, and change the one or two aspects that you would like to change. For 450, why not?

Just remember to save some money so you can pay Sal the royalty for using the "Spyderhole". And hopefully, I don't owe him for using the word!

Try Phil Tham. Top quality, works very fast, reasonably priced, and unbelievable customer service.

Benchmade AFCK or Mcusta Tactility(a couple models should have a thumb hole for opening). Maybe wait for the Lionspy for a really fat framelock knife with a thumbhole.

Yea, if you stuck with spyderco you wouldn't go wrong... I have never handled a military, but do have a para 2 and love it. I would consider a para 2. in s90v.They are around your price range I think.

For a little bit more than your $450 budget, try Brad Southard, Yuna, or Peter R. Long wait lists though.

I just got a Spyderco Vallotton today, and this thing is built like a Mack truck. I've always preferred Spyderco because they were my first knives & I got used to the spidey hole. This one is gonna replace my Military. Now I understand that I'm still high from getting the vallotton, but for the money, I don't think you could get any better.

Take a look at Mike Irie. He builds a nice heavy duty folder in his Model 11. I have the spearpoint and it is everything you want in a heavy duty knife. Thick titanium liners @ .080", blade at .160", weight around 7 ounces. It is a tip down knife but that can be fixed. Prices are around the $450 mark, and you get a very nice, well made knife for that!

Here's a pic of mine;
