My good 50 year old friend Gudy van Poppel send me the following pics with the request to post them.

The first bowie is forged out of O2, nickel and old iron found in the excavation of a roman ship. Gudy does not know how old the iron exactly is.

I let the pictures speak for themselves…..

I like the first and last knife the best. The steel on the first one is really cool and the ivory on the third one is amazingly blue. The second one is a bit too busy for me, mainly because of the stacked handle.

As I already said on other forums: this is my favourite. I absolutely love that damascus. If only it were mine...

Fantastic knives! I handled the last one on the dutch knifeshow (DKE) and had to use all my self control not to buy it!

Kind regards,

Jos

+1:thumbup: That's my favorite of the group also.

The first and last are real stunners! I like the blade very much on the second but the handle doesn't do it for me.

That guard on the third is particularly interesting. Also the pommel on the first. And that damascus is wild.
And...(I could go on and on)
The history and source of the iron is fascinating.

Great work!!
