You can get Saiga's.you guys living in the free states are so lucky....
i live in california and can only dream about AK's....
You can get Saiga's.
They don't have pistol grips or any other "assault weapon" features but they can take detachable magazines. They are even pretty cheap.
Not a shoot thru wallet like older galcos and naa wallets .Barrel and slide are not inside of wallet .Not a shoot thru wallet , I checked .
Your dealer is a whimp.i've tried...you need to find a dealer with balls that is willing to fight with the DOJ.....
i even referred my dealer to the thread on calguns.net discussing CA legal saigas, but my dealer wouldn't order one for me.....
if you happen to know a dealer in CA that is willing to order one, PM me please....i will literally buy one right now!!!
Your dealer is a whimp.
Irvington Arms had several the last time I was there.
The only problem I can think of with the Saiga is that the distributor might sell them with a high capacity magazine which isn't legal to import in to the state.
I transferred a PS90 through Irvington so they will do off list receivers including AR-15 and AK style receivers.
Any dealer that won't do that isn't worth dealing with. The DA's have shown their hand. They won't do anything that could create a legal challenge to their list. They won't even add any receivers to the list. I'm going to buy a Masada one of these days.
The DA's know that all of these AW laws are unconstitutional but they won't prosecute any one that has a chance of challenging them. Then the DOJ uses scare tactics against the law abiding dealers in an effort to disarm law abiding citizens. A good dealer has already figured this out and will get you anything that's legal, no matter what the DOJ says.
For any one not familliar with CA laws, receivers that aren't on their "assault weapon" list are 100% legal unless you build them in to an "assault weapon", luckily the definition of "assault weapon" gives you two ways to build almost any reciever in a legal manner. What the DOJ has been doing is when a dealer calls to ask about the importation of an off list receiver, the DOJ agent tells them that it's legal but that receiver is due to be added to the list any day. The dealer doesn't want to have a receiver become illegal while it's in his safe so if they don't know this DOJ bluff, they will refuse to order the perfectly legal receiver (or complete rifle).
