very nice.

how do you like that ruger? im trying to pick one up, but they are not easy to come by in ca.

you guys living in the free states are so lucky....

i live in california and can only dream about AK's....

Look's like you've got a lot of fun ahead of you. Very nice Ban jobs too.

You can get Saiga's.

They don't have pistol grips or any other "assault weapon" features but they can take detachable magazines. They are even pretty cheap.

**Friendly Warning from my local ATF Agent** he noticed me with one of those holsters like on your ruger and had me remove it. He says that such a shoot through holster turns your handgun into a NFA AOW.

Now tell us how that new Ruger shoots... Give me any reason to drop this keltec as trade fodder

i've tried...you need to find a dealer with balls that is willing to fight with the DOJ.....

i even referred my dealer to the thread on calguns.net discussing CA legal saigas, but my dealer wouldn't order one for me.....

if you happen to know a dealer in CA that is willing to order one, PM me please....i will literally buy one right now!!!

Not a shoot thru wallet like older galcos and naa wallets .Barrel and slide are not inside of wallet .Not a shoot thru wallet , I checked .

I was wondering as well. Since its legal, where did you get it?

you will have to tell us how that little Ruger treats you. I have never had a Ruger that I did not love, and did not go bang every time. (Mark I, SP101 .357, 10-22, and love my dad's Blackhawk .357, his old P89 has never misfired or jammed since he bought it forever ago).

I love the Kahrs too

Your dealer is a whimp.

Irvington Arms had several the last time I was there.

The only problem I can think of with the Saiga is that the distributor might sell them with a high capacity magazine which isn't legal to import in to the state.

I transferred a PS90 through Irvington so they will do off list receivers including AR-15 and AK style receivers.

Any dealer that won't do that isn't worth dealing with. The DA's have shown their hand. They won't do anything that could create a legal challenge to their list. They won't even add any receivers to the list. I'm going to buy a Masada one of these days.

The DA's know that all of these AW laws are unconstitutional but they won't prosecute any one that has a chance of challenging them. Then the DOJ uses scare tactics against the law abiding dealers in an effort to disarm law abiding citizens. A good dealer has already figured this out and will get you anything that's legal, no matter what the DOJ says.

For any one not familliar with CA laws, receivers that aren't on their "assault weapon" list are 100% legal unless you build them in to an "assault weapon", luckily the definition of "assault weapon" gives you two ways to build almost any reciever in a legal manner. What the DOJ has been doing is when a dealer calls to ask about the importation of an off list receiver, the DOJ agent tells them that it's legal but that receiver is due to be added to the list any day. The dealer doesn't want to have a receiver become illegal while it's in his safe so if they don't know this DOJ bluff, they will refuse to order the perfectly legal receiver (or complete rifle).

CA blows, and IL isn't far behind.

Wired45, I will await the field report on the Ruger and the Kahr. I am always on the lookout for a good small .45Auto. Nice AK by the way, I have been thinking of replacing the one I sold years ago. Is that a Saiga? My buddy bought one but it just had the straight sporter type stock, no pistol grip.

You are going to love that Kahr. My K-9, which I have had since the year they were introduced, has simply been the most reliable and accurate handgun I have ever owned. In what has now been a couple of thousand rounds, it has never, ever had a FTF or FTE.

Friday of this week, I went to the range with a SIG GSR 1911, a Colt Combat Commander, and three Browning Hi-Powers. Shot them all, both at paper and at steel. The SIG proved it's reputation for accuracy, grouped significantly better than the others. Then I went to the car to retrieve my carry gun, the K-9, and the little sucker cut the SIG groups in half! A gun this small and light should not be able to shoot like that!

Commiefornia has lots of culture...operas, museums, art galleries....it has awesome weather, great shopping, and is a beautiful state to travel and play in. That being said....this state has some of the most ridiculous laws I've ever heard of, and the aforementioned laws will be driving me from this state soon.
