Hey guys, I made a thread awhile ago saying I came into a tiny bit of money and was gonna get some new knives and I finaly ordered some! Not all traditional, but nice all the same..I can't justify having more than one knife for one purpose at this point so I went with a small case texas jack for my right front pocket, and a more modern knife to clip on my right pocket(emerson cqc7a probably, still deciding.) . Will post picks when they arrive! can't wait  Do any of you guys have the small texas jack? if you do how do you like it?

The small Texas Jack is a very popular knife around these parts and a fine choice, Jesse.

I have a couple. One from the 80's and one from the past few years.

I'm sure you're going to like that little classic!

It's a first rate pattern that will serve most needs, the larger(modified) pen blade is a particular plus point in my view. You will be pleased I'm certain. Built on the same CASE frame as its Stockman cousin I believe.

The recent Amber Bone knife that I own is much prized and very well put together, be nice if CASE were to field some more handle options as well.

yeah it would be nice if they had it in pocket worn red bone too. Just completed my order for the cqc7a from warriors and wonders too, will probably arrive before the case.

Congrats,

With those two, I think you made good choices. That combination should be able to handle any cutting you would want to do with a folder and then some.

Thanks Bastid, now the hard part, waiting for them to come lol, will bring my tent down to the mailbox.

Congrats on your new knives....
As others have mentioned, the small Texas Jack is a great knife. I think you will be very happy with it. The hard part is waiting :D
Heres a couple pics. You mentioned you wished they offered the Jack in red bone. If you do a little searching, you can still find the old red bone Case Jacks. They look a little different than the current red bone offerings.

The Texas Jack pattern is fantastic. It goes great by itself or riding shotgun.....
