Don't know if us "regular" members of the forum are supposed to originate threads in this forum or not. If not, I apologize to whomever wishes it.

In checking for something at Knife Center, learned that Timberline has "snuck" a great-looking FB knife named the Zambezi onto the market. Designed by Brian Lightfoot. Very adaptable sheath system, looks like quite a knife. Haven't been to the Timberline site yet to see what can learn. Knife Center is asking $100 for the Zambezi.

Also noted that CRKT has added a folder to the "Wrangler" line. I'd never heard of the Wrangler line, and failed to find the new knife -- the Mo' Skeeter on the CRKT site. Did find the original Wrangler which looks like an interesting knife. The Wrangler has an MSRP of $20, and that's what Knife Center is asking for the Mo' Skeeter.

If anybody has some worthwhile knowledge about these knives, I'd like to learn it.

One minor correction - design by Greg Lightfoot :) It's a nice fixed blade, ergonomic handle fits my hand well. Lately I've developed an unexplained appreciation for green handles (BM 940, Emersons), I really like the combination of green handle and black blade of the Zambezi. The rubber inlays in the handle make the grip feel more secure.

The sheath for this knife is pretty awesome. It locks in nicely and releases easily with the push of a button. All this can be done with one hand.

Overall IMO a very nice large fixed blade for the money. Excellent craftsmanship!

Thanks, Dexter, for the correction. I keep telling people how lousy my memory is. Can't believe I came up with Brian instead of Greg. My apologies, Mr. Lightfoot.

Yeah, I thought the sheath looked really snazzy.

Bugs - when you mentioned "Brian Lightfoot", you just mentioned two of Canada's finest tactical makers in one breath :D
