I've had a good run on Ebay lately. These are some of the knives I won and every one is a suprise as far as condition. All as decribed by the sellar. The first is a Schrade-Walden 171UH #16234,my first square pommel. The second is the 41OT I showed in the earlier thread.Third is a Craftsman 166 shown earlier also.Fourth is a Craftsman 15OT.Last is my newest prize,a nearly mint Craftsman 171 with box and paperwork.Blade is etched Custom Bear Skinner and A.C.A. Edge.I have two more on the way,a 171 with a low #04932 and a Craftsman 165OT.I just had a thought, thats scary, should we be calling the 165OT an Old Timer since it's a Craftsman not an Old Timer.Arnold

If you want to use Schrade's own number system, the 165OT was a #83 pattern. The 15OT was a #78 pattern. The 171UH was a #97 pattern, and the 41OT was a #43 pattern.

I have a thought too. I think you have done very well recently in your quest for Schrade and Sears-Schrade fixed blade knives. Congratulations! You now have nearly as many 171's as I have 165's!

Thanks. Now if the BH versions would show up or the one model of the American Eagle series I'm missing.Arnold

They will. The BH's will be along in a bit, and the American Eagles come up every month, one at a time. You'll get one soon. And I'll get the 15OTB I've been wanting for the longest.

Nice collection there Arnold , looks like you have a passion for the big blades. I can see how that big bowie could be mistaken for a Buck.

Thanks Michael. The 41OT does match the one in the insert.Did you get a sheath with yours and if so could you show a picture.Arnold

Another to add to the collection.Square end 171UH serial number 04932 which doesn't fit the records since there were 6000+ Birdsheads made and numbered.Anyway it's a very early 171.Arnold

I got these yesterday.First two are from the Native American series.Sundance #3720 and a Bear Cult #0772.Both are users but will fit with my others.Second is a Bearhead 141.What is unusual about this knife are the white and black spacers. Most are red, white, and black.Third is an early 15OT Pat.Pending with no serial number.Fourth is a 171UH serial number 11056.And last is the prize of the bunch. It is a mint in the box early 152 with papers.Even the tang is clean with no rust or patina. Thanks for looking I think I need a bigger room.Arnold
