Hey Yvsa they even got ride of the cho creep. :D ]

4.25” S30V Blade not sure abot any other detail. The other side or the blade id mark prototype, have no idea of the cost.

couldn't find any info (google, etc.)....

The only place it's shown right now is on another knife forum in the balisong specific area. Duane from edcknives has it - don't know if he's going to put it up on his site or not...

I couldn't find anything on it either. I saw it over on the Usual Suspect Forums and decided that I had to put something over here. I will check back there once in a while and wee if anything comes up again.

Neat. Hope the link works.

My guess is HIGH. :)

guess I'll just have to add "balisong" to my list of things to learn how to make myself....:D

in terms of general custom balisong prices Korth tend to be on the lower end of things, but that's still somewhat high. But with the top quality work they put in and the IKBS (pivot bearings) it's a pretty good deal in the balisong world.

A firm named Korth did make revolvers some time back. I think they were selling for $1200 when Pythons were going for about $500.

Hi, guys !

Korth revolvers are one company, Korth knives is another. No link whatsoever between the two.

Ricardo and Roberto Lala are the owners of Korth Cutelary, here in Brazil. They are great, worldwide recognized and their products are very worth the money. And they're expensive !!!

I have a knife ordered to them.

Regards,

Andre Tiba - Brazil

yes....of course. ;)

and thank goodness...

:p :p

(most the websites I found said that Korth (gun co.) went out of business in Europe - too "high end")

They'll probably be in the $500 range without any options like damascus. The Brazilian balisong makers are quite unique in that they invented a ball bearing joint called the IKBS, instead of the standard washer or washerless system. It is super duper smooth, and the finish of the entire knife can only be described as flawless. I'm presently having a few custom balisongs made, and Korth is one of the absolute best to consider.. I let the "balisongers" know of this post, and I'm sure they will be available to help out on any questions.

but i'd be lucky to afford the box and postage. I might be able to 'swing' the Spyderco Spyderfly...

The "balisong people" would really welcome your entry as a maker, especially now that you're a forum moderator. :D You were, afterall, invited to the recent balisong barbecue/barbeque; that was pretty neighborly on their part!
I like fixed blades and khukuries, but as a folder, I do have a definite liking to the balisong. I'm not good at flipping it, mainly because I can't risk cutting my fingers, but after a few hours' of practice, I can get it open and ready to do whatever is needed as quickly as I can with a thumb stud folder. I personally feel that the locking mechanism of the bali is way stronger; never did hear of a quality bali failing...

The balisong guys are excellent people, Pen... Let them know you are willing to take your hand at it, and i'm sure they will give you a lot of support.

Based on other Korth models, the handles will be available in several other anodized finishes, (green, or gold,) or plain silver.

It's excluisve to EDCKnives, not available direct from Taymo.

BTW 29 knives also do a Khurkri bali. Thats a more heavy duty affair, with an ATS34 3/16 inch thick blade, and stainless steel handles.

If anybody needs more 'stuff' on korth feel free to PM me.
