I don't know if this has been brought up before (my search did not find a thread for it). I got my new Koster Bushmaster today. Wow, what a nice blade. Fit and finish is first rate, love the feel in the hand, non glare brushed finish on the flats of the blade, nice leather sheath included, jimping on the spine is aggressive (but I like it) and it came really really sharp. I measure a little less than 5" of blade and about 5" of handle. His specs say its .22 thick and a flat grind which is perfect for me with this length of blade. Balance point is around the handle rivet or pin. I'm not much on fuzz sticks but it appears quite capable. This should be an awesome all around user. I believe its just what I was looking for!!!!

I have one just like it and as you say, great knife. I even have one of Talfuchre's sheaths for it. Not this one but just like it.

I just wish I could get him to make sheaths for some of my other knives. :grumpy:

I've had a couple of his knives, and while I sold them off, it wasn't due to any reason other than needing money. Dan makes good products and has always been prompt at communication. Good looking knife! Enjoy!

you dont have a picture of the handle from the top do you? I was looking at Kosters site and the handles looked a little diffent.

Thank you. For some reason the photos on the Koster site made the handles look funny to me. These look nice.

How sharp did it come?Another thread I read somewhere said that they had to sharpen it due to it not being shap. sorry for so many question b ut this knife has caught my attention.

Shaving sharp. No edge problems with this one. I am very happy with it.

I got mine a few weeks ago. I haven't put it through a full battery of tests yet , but my blade is extremely sharp at least slicing paper and cardboard.

This is my 2nd 3V knife. This steel kind of has a odd , dull patina to it. I really like it though.

The Bushmaster is very well balanced , has plenty of handle , and the ergos feel very good. To be honest , the Sharpshooter sheath that came with it is poorly designed , as were the others I've purchased. The sheath body itself is ok , but the belt loop is way too small. No matter ; I make my own sheaths anyhow.

If this knife appeals to you , jump on it. They sell out fast. It is a very well built and designed knife.

Well to late. Just went there and the natural canvas ones are gone.

According to Dan's forum section there are 100 knives to be shipped to ksf this year so you should have another chance.

I like mine, wish the handle was a bit smaller though. Also wish it came with a kydex sheath from ksf as I don't like the leather one. I'll eventually have to see about getting a kydex sheath.

I have to agree on the kydex. Everyone has their own feelings on sheaths but over the last few years my preferences have moved from leather to kydex also.
