New Laconico for my son

When we went to Bush Bash 1, my son really liked a knife that Ray was carrying. He wanted one just like it, with only one change - the addition of a thumb rest. He is pretty happy with the result:

When I put the thump ramp I had to shorten the guard a little to make it fit the barstock. It does look like a Bravo-1 with the adjustments I made. Here's the original knife I was copying..

I really dig both his version and your own original. You did a great job incorporating that ramp by shortening the guard, added a feature without losing existing function elsewhere on the knife :thumbup:.

I am not very enthusiastic about the ramp on the Bravo-1; it just never seemed to fit right for me. But I would guess that the ramp feels entirely different on your knife. Judging from John's pic alone, it looks like you executed it better than BRKT as well (not as acute, more gradual).

I might need to pick me up one of those two later Maybe we can chat at the next BushBash if I make it.
