While the full test will be featured on our website in video, here are some stills of an unprecedented test on a solid Axe handle. While there are hollow handles on the market that have endured similar tests in terms of flexibility, most have chipped out or broken during tests for impact resistance and shock resistance.
Few if any integrally constructed Tomahawks/Axes would pass this test. Most if not all would receive a permanent bend or just break...rendering it unusable in either case. These stills feature a truck, "parked" on our handle...not just driven over it, though we did do that and have the video.
What makes this special is that its our Tomahawk, at nearly 1 lb., with an extremely comfortable handle, enduring a tremendous load.
This test was performed on the very same handle that was previously subject to extremely abusive impact and shock tests to destroy it...it simply will not break, snap, or be rendered unusable...and it ain't Acetal!!
