it looks as tho its the same setup as on the new umnum, where the lanyard holds the pin from from falling out
probably a stupid question, but how does the lanyard keep the pin from falling out?
It fits through a hole in the pin.

I'm going to fabricate one of these pins for my small classic EDC, although it looks to me like there won't be enough room for my leather lanyard to avoid being nicked by the tip when it's closed, or worse; that the knife may not close all the way on some occasions with the lanyard in place.
