new lanyard

Hey guys, I want to get a new lanyard for my sebenza so I looked a little on evilbay and I liked several of them. My question is, probably dumb but, how do I put it on my knife when I order one? Thanks!

Ya but how do i get it through the holes on the handle?

Loop a bit of fishing line or small thread strong thread and pull it through the hole.

Thread fishing line through the hole (I use a strand of the core from the 550 paracord) then through the handle,through the loop on the lanyard, back through the knife handle. Now pull the loop of the lanyard through the hole using the fishing line tag ends. Now that the loop in the lanyard is through the hole, pass the entire lanyard through its own loop.

Why the lanyard? Other than decoration how does it help you? Just curious.

I haven't got one yet. I've never had one on a knife except for my sebenza, it came with one. I dunno I just kinda like it, helps to pull it out of pocket, and again, I just kinda like it.
