New Last Resort Knife Design

This is a design that I wanted to carry opposite of my Gun carry hand.

I made the proto type out of a farrier rasp.

I used Black Micarta scales

This is the carry rig I made.

Next one will be out of O1..

That looks great. Did you heat treat it yourself or send it out?

I'd buy one of those and carry it, no doubt. I won't tell you what I carry but I will say the canted handle, "scooped" spine, and double edge (or acute false top edge) are part of the package. I consider my particular knife of choice to be one of the primary deterrents to intimidation-based violence simply because I am so comfortable with using it that I don't exude the fear that most opportunistic criminals look for.

Did I mention that I'd buy one of those?

as long as its a swedge on top and not sharpened it should be fine

I was also thinking the canted handle may qualify it as a "push knife"

Thanks for the replies. Its 3.5 inches long, and the top is not sharpened. Its legal in TN where I live. I do my own heat treating.

I was going to make the next one out of O1 but I had a request to do another one out of a farrier rasp and pin the handle.

It turned out good.
