Just wanted to show you fellas a couple of sheaths I made. I started making leather last winter and so far they're turning out ok.

Thanks for checking ' em out !

Looks good to me. Does it work (do what you want it to do)? Do you like it?

Keep it up it's fun.

Where's the second one though?

Very very nice. I love that 11 sheath. Is the retention good enough to hang with the tang down or is it kinda like a pouch and the tang is pointed upward?

I designed it so the tang hangs down. The knife can be inserted either way. Retention is very good.

The BK7 sheath turned out a lot better than I thought. I can take out and put away that knife very quickly. Both sheaths got the hot beeswax coating job that I do on all my sheaths. Makes them very water resistant.

Thanks for the nice comments guys !

Looking great! A leather sheath is in my future for my 7 someday. Not sure if I'm going to attempt it or hire it out.

It's a fun hobby to get into and not that expensive. I learned all from reading on the net. Now when a factory sheath doesn't suit me I just make my own. Most of the time it takes me a day or so.

Very nice sheath for the 11. WOuld love to see more close up shots of it. Very tidy stitching work too. I think a necker that's actually worn around the neck should have a leather sheath, softer on the skin if it comes in contact with your chest;)
