At the last Gathering in Mokena at the expansive JK Manufacturing Complex and BBQ Circle, I strong-armed our friend John Smith (darkmatter) into making a sheath for my JK Knatchet -

The work came out splendidly! I have been uber busy lately, but I was able to get out last night to snap a couple quick and out of focus pictures to show off the beautiful work that darkmatter did on this sheath!

John took extra care to make sure the knife rides correctly and this sheath is 100% top notch all the way -

I will use it with pride, thanks Mr. Smith!!

I am a big fan of Mr. Smith's work.

That sheath looks fantastic.

I currently have three JK's wrapped with his leather and plan on several more in the future.

The nice thing is that he actually gets the work done and the product delivered -

I had another leather maker who will remain unnamed that "put me on a list" and then after I called them over 6 months later they acted huffy that I would waste their time and told me I was "on the list" -

Then, a week later, I got an email saying they were ready to "cut leather" on my sheath.

I did not even reply, did not want to further waste their time.

I'm happy you like the sheath Andy and thanks for the kind words guys. I just sent off a sheath for a hatchet (my first one). I'll post some pictures once the owner receives it.
Take care, John S.

Beautiful combo Andy.

I'm going to have to contact Mr Smith for my PocketMuk's sheath after I get the scales put on.

Congrats Andy and great work John.
