New Leather Sheath Care/Treatment Question

Hey guys
I have a few NIB Bark River knives Im going to break out of the safe and use and I want to darken the leather sheaths and put some waterproof protection on them. For years I have used mink oil on all my leather. What do you suggest I use ?

I've had nice success with Snoseal.
