Just got a brand new lm wave. I was mis-using my old one and long story short the blade wouldn't lock anymore. Took it to my local canadian tire and they gave my a new one no questions asked. I didn't even have a reciept to show. They even gave my the new sheath and I didn't have the old one along to give them.

The new main blade had a huge wire edge on it that had folded over and it was butter knife dull but it is now razor sharp. I love how that lm 420 sharpens.

Just wanted to give CT and LM a big thumbs up and I sure am glad I have a new wave to aid wrapping and opening presents. I'm also very happy I didn't have to ship the broken one out east and go a couple weeks without my favorite multi-tool.

If anyone here is ever curious if you can baton with a wave the answer is no. :o. It was a last-resort type of deal at work. Oh well, lesson learned.

Now that's great service! I've never done batoning with the Wave, the saw works very good though.

ya it's defineatly not for batoning. I like the saw blade except I have to round the corners on the back of the blade and liners cause they will cut into your thumbs if you put lots of pressure on them.

I have a new wave and I've carried it everyday for close to a year and I've had no problems, they are great tools and leatherman has a great warranty.

Got a wave after using a Vic swisstool for a few years. Everything on the wave is beefier than the Swiss, but the fit and finish, and the locking mechanism was smoother on the Swiss. Kind if a tradeoff, but i prefer ruggedness over aesthetics and finish when I'm inthe woods lol. Plus I managed to pickup the wave, and magnum 400 light combo for a song from Costco lol.
