I just received my new Infinity L.E.D. Task Light from Campmor. Very nice! Made by a company called CMG Equipment (made in USA), it is powered by 1 AA battery and has a lifetime warranty--100,000 hrs on the bulb. I got the yellow LED (I think Hewlett Packard did the circuitry) and it throws quite a light--I can read by it easily in the dark. A battery is supposed to last 41 hours. The housing is aluminum. It's a tough little critter. Cost: $15.99.

I joined the Infinity owners group today. I picked up a white from www.glowbug.com

As you Infinity owners know already it's a very nice light, finish is great, brighter than I expected, really nice. I'm impressed.

One note, when I open it the first time the was an aluminum whisker hanging from the threads in the cap. I broke it off so it didn't short against the center contact.

I have Infinity whites bought from 2 different stores. One has a bright white-bluish glow and the other one has a not so bright white-yellowish glow.

The one with white-bluish glow is a lot brighter and I emailed CMG Equipment about this two different Infinity white flashlights.

Here is CMG Equipments reply;

Thank you for you email. We use the same white LED for all lights manufactured. With all LEDs, there is some variance within a certain lot or between different lots, but we are use the same grade or quality LED with each product.

If you returned the lights to xxxxxx Electronics, they should replace them no problem if you are not satisfied with the product. It sounds like the one you received from Triple Aught is definitely more typical.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Mine is yellow. I just bought another yellow one a couple of days ago. Found a backpacking shop around here that sells them for the same price I can mailorder them.

I've got one of the older "orange" LED ones. Not sure about the new ones, but mine rattled terribly. Found a spare o-ring that fit and pushed it to the bottom of the light. The AA sits on it just find, and there's very little chance for it to "accidently" switch itself on.
