I was given a well used 6318 Case by my mom and dads neighbor. It used to be her husbands and he passed away a few years ago... The blades have been shortened up a lot and the back scale is cracked... The man that owned it was an engineer that traveled the world, and was also very frugal.
Even though he was very well off, he was not the type to waste money buying new things when the old things still worked... Guess thats why he had money. I thought it would be fitting to get the knife in better condition and was wondering if anyone here has parts and works on them or if you know of someone who does ? I guess worst case scenario, I could send it to Case for repair.. Thanks Mike

If you send it to Case, make it for Atten. Shirley. Or call Case and give her a heads up. I think her last name is Bose, Boase, something like that. Who better to fix an old Case than the folks who made it?

Thats true.. I sent an older trapper to Case about 6 months ago.. I bought it on ebay and the blades were worse than described. But it had REALLY NICE bone scales so I didn't return it to the seller. Emailed Case and sent the knife in to have both blades replaced... They said 4-6 weeks, I got it back in 5 weeks. The knife looks incredible after they finished it. I gave them my phone number and said to call with any questions they had, she did. Just wanted to make sure I wanted to spend the money to repair it before they did the work..
Its the only time I've dealt with Case and they were great....

338375,
I will second that one. And yes the Case Historian's name is Shirley Bose. If you pen up a brief letter in your own hand writing basically stating what you stated here, I believe they may do the work for you very reasonably. For instance, my cousin had a mid 1970's whittler where he admitted over extending the limits of the knifes potential(we call that abuse down here in the south;) ) and in the process broke the tip off the main blade and broke the front and back brownish-reddish scales. Long story shortened,, Case sent back the knife in about a months time with the main blade replaced and beautiful new scales for a charge $5. and postage.. Now, I am not going to say this will happen to you the same exact way and same pricing, as your knife may take a bit more work to complete properly, but what the hell, it can't hurt to submit the request to see if they will oblige you.. Try them out and I think you will be pleased at the results. Good Luck in any event.

I think it will cost more than $5, but they've refurbished a couple for me for less than $20. Did a good job.

Its well worth even 20.00 to get the knife in like new condition... This is another of my disorders  among many, I feel that if a knife needs some help, it is my job to see that it gets done... :D
