I have a spyder edge, frn dragonfly in aus8 that my dad gave me in the late 90's. I've never been a huge fan of serations , but this knife has some sentimental value. Does anyone know if I can send this in to spyderco to be resharpened and how much that costs if they do offer such a service?
Thanks for your help

I believe spyderco will sharpen it for free for life, in fact most of the major knife companies will I believe, i mean their own brand, not sharpen some other companies brand for free. You have to pay for shipping to the company at least though.

Or you could by a spyderco sharpener isntead and learn basic knife sharpening skills. I suggest use that shipping money towards a sharpmaker because you will probably need to resharpen kitchen knives too and the dragonfly if you use it very often. Also you can sharpen other things.

Get a spyderco sharpmaker, watch the video that comes with it. Its easy to do the spyderedge, and the sharpmaker is awesome.

Thanks for the advice, I should mention that this is the only serrated knife I own or will own. I sharpen all my other blades on a set of stones. So I'm not really in the market for a sharpmaker.

If it just needs sharpening send it in to spyderco with 5 dollars for return shipping. If it has chips or dings it may need a regrind for 25 dollars.Only spyderco can say for sure.
