Ever come across a knife that kind of got lost in the clutter, one you forgot you even had? I was in the kitchen a couple months ago and stumbled over a knife that has been laying around doing nothing, a CS Master Hunter 2nd, my wife bought it as a birthday present about 10 years ago. It was a bit stained, had some small corrosion marks, and was in desperate need of a good sharpening. I had forgotten just how sharp carbon V steel can get, and what a decent knife this is. Still have a bit of sanding and polishing to do, but its coming along nicely. Did a bit of digging around on this site, and despite some of the CS negativity the Master Hunter seems to get some fairly positive comments. One thing that struck me though, the sheath was definitely lacking. Eric at On Scene Tactical hooked me up with a nicely made kydex sheath, great person to work with

Finding/reclaiming/restoring an older blade has been as much fun as buying a new one, a lot cheaper as well :) Anyone else have a story about finding a knife that was lost, misplaced, or as in my case hiding in plain sight?
