Hi All,

Just let me say again that Buck's customer service is second to none. I sent Joe an email asking if he could help a Red Bone 110 that was in sad shape. It was an old work horse that had been used hard and abused. He said send it to me!!!

The tip of the blade had been broken and re-shaped to a round tip (to open paint cans). The blade had so much movement it had wobbles (closed and open). There was not one spot on the brass that did not have dings (Bolsters and Liners). The Picked bone handles were full of crud (paint and Caulking). This knife was in the worst shape of any Buck knife I ever had in my hands.

As I watched the mail truck pull up in front of my house to put the mail in the box. I saw him drop a box on the ground:mad::(. Joe had sent back an old workhorse. All I can say is WOW :D. Can't believe this is the same knife. It's a perfect knife thanks BKI.

Thank you Joe; you are to cool for school:cool:!!!
Your loyal customer:thumbup:

jb...that's amazing. Those bolsters look like NS in the returned knife. Any chance you got a new knife with your inlay installed?

I really looks good...I know your thrilled with that outcome.

gota love them bones!
i got a pair of bones ... brown and red..
one has a -110- blade and the other has a 110- blade
that is the two year marks for 1992..

Wow JB, that makes me want to dig out some of the old ones I have laying around the house and see what they come back looking like. Thet did a great job for you. Once again Joe steps up!

Thats a Great befor/after shot!!! Well Done! I'm gonna put Buck to the test on a 4 rivit 112 thats really sad...Joe U DA MAN !

They did a wonderful job on my segua scaled 112. I gave it to my wife and she is reluctant to use it, it is so pretty.

I sure do love the looks of the red bone. I had no idea they came like that once upon a time. I also can't imagine opening pain cans with one but then I tried shucking oysters and look what it got me.

Looks fantastic JB.

I have a pair of red bone 110's and they do look great. Yours is the only other one I've seen.

I'm so glad you like the way it turned out. But if the truth be known, all I did was say, "yes, we can fix it". The guys in the shop did the magic. :D
I really like that jigged bone, not just on the 110 but the 300 series. It has a kind of traditional look to it I guess.

:thumbup:I love that knife,it looks great !I had 2 from the custom shop ,a brown bone damascus and a red bone with 420 mirror polish, both are long gone stolen from my house.

I don't think Buck could make a handle material look any better than what they did with the red/brown bone!SAAAAAAAAAAWEEEEEEEET!
