Well I'm lucky I walked into my local knife store today and look what I came out with. I knew like many about the United Cutlery Carbon Fiber Rift. Well apparently there was a Export Dealer only (yes I'm in Canada. Yeah!) limited run on the Rift as well. This one with Carbon Fiber Handles and a black coated CPM M4 blade. I got number 39 of 50 so that means there must be 49 more out there somewhere....

and some pictures to ogle.

Man that's beautiful...I hate coated blades, but it looks terrific. The Rift is probably the best new Benchmade, overall.

Wow, that looks fantastic. Long have I wanted one of Benchmade's heavier duty axis models (520, 420, 950) in either M2 or M4. Adding on carbon fiber is icing on the cake. Oh how I wish I could get my hands on one of these...

Seriously?! I swear, I am slowly being convinced that Benchmade hates us here in the US. Sneaking really nice knives out of the country all the time and telling no one. I feel like they should know what consumers want by now with all these commissioned knives. They ought to stop making their own designs and just make what people ask for.

Then they would be called Spyderco:).

To answer questions yes it is very smooth and not Gold Class just really limited.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I really love my new Benchmade.

Great score. Between the tip strength, the high flat ground and the axis lock that is def. one of the best knives released in the past year or so.

Congrats on getting this one:thumbup:

I did some searching & can't find it anywhere.
