With the arrival of the M6, hope springs eternal. I'm looking forward to the new line from the Swamp & Scrapyard. I'm trying to avoid buying one of each and selling the ones that aren't my favorites, not to mention saving enough in shipping to buy a knife or two.

Anyway, I was hoping that some of you that handled these at Blade this year could give me some input and recommendations.

I love a chopper that is blade heavy, ala Basic 9, Battle Rat felt a little too neutral to me. My 5/16" straight handled Steel Heart, felt like it needed to be 2 inches longer:) The Mr. Mofo, as much as I loved it, screamed slash, don't chop. If I'd had the guts to use it may have proven me wrong. Which of the new Scrapyard or Rat's do you think would fit the bill for me?

As for shorter knives, some of my favorites include the Bandicoot & the Rat Hunter, as well as the BA III, although I felt that it had a little too much handle for my taste, always wanted to try one shaved flush with the scales.

Same question, which new Rat or Scrapyard would you recommend?

Some of my favorite Busse & Rat knives.

Basic 9, Bandicoot, ZTNO, Mr. Mofo, BAIII, Rat Hunter, Skeleton Key, 3/16" Rat Shaker.

Thanks,

GregB

Please pardon any mention of the "B" word:) and Scrapyard doesn't have it's own forum yet, so I didn't know where else to go.
