i was looking at mr.lingers website and i was wondering if anyone has goten the new styles  because i'm thinking about one of the new styles but i cant see them good like the blued or green and black handle.

A friend of mine is getting the one with the green/black micarta with the blued blade and Roger will be starting on mine with the green/black micarta handle without the blueing on the blade in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately I dont have it to show off yet.

Well i like the blued finish but i was wondering if it would wear off bad because i have a tops tracker and i use it not abuse it and the finish is coming off. I really like the green/black handle but i also like the black handle with a blued finish i really need to see more pictures of them to figure out which one to buy.

Tracker101,

I currently have the knife #42 you reference. What parts (close ups?) of the knife would you like me to post? I'll be glad to take and post a few pictures if you like.

I personally think I like the green/black better than the black (stricktly a personal choice) but am also anxious to make one in highly figured hard wood.

Expect the bluing to wear as well as a hot blued rifle. That is what the bluing actually is. I have a gun maker in up state New York blue the blades for me.

Hay Rob,

If you have them I'd like to see close ups of knife #42 pics of the hook-draw knife, saw, and the finger grooves of the handle. I was wondering if on the sheath if Jamie could put a pocket for a small folder and a loop for the fire starter? I'd love to see you come out with the WSK with a wood handle. You should think about making a little scout companion knife for a carry along.

I'll try to shoot and post those tonight (maybe pretty late). I am making a couple knives to be used as a companion to the WSK.

The handle material is pretty much up to what the owner wants.

Jamie can do the pocket and loop.

The darker area close to the edge is a hammon. This occurs with 1075 steel. There will be no hammon on a WSK made of O1 steel.

Man you make some pretty knives, i was wondering what the price listing is one all the models of the wsk and how much extra the sheath upgrades would be? Thanks for the pictures

Sure but I will do that via email, please. I want to be careful here not to cross any lines concerning conducting buisiness over the forums (you understand). I'll email you soon.
