What do you think of the new pruners from leatherman?
Does anyone been able to play with one?

Hi All,

I'm looking forward to the release of these pruners. If the Vista is what I think it is going to be, it will replace the separate saw and pruner in my hunting pack. I already have thought of three friends whose Christmas present will be the Hybrid.

Cheers - Joe:)

Well, if you're not a gardener, I don't doubt it wouldn't be of much interest to you. (And it wasn't until JoeBW's post that I saw the usefulness for a hunter in clearing duck blinds, site lines, etc.) My dad is a big-time yard guy, always tending the orchids and roses and fruit trees. This is definitely on my list for him for Father's Day.

While gardening or doing other light home and yard maintenance I usually wear a Nite Ize carrier on my belt stuffed with a Supertool 200 and pruning shears. It serves, but the new Vista looks interesting. Before considering it seriously, I need to handle one and check the price tag.

I am almost never the first kid on the block to pick up the latest. Usually I buy gadgets like multitools when they are on sale at deep discounts, so it might be a while before getting around to this one. Presumably, by then they will have been pretty well rung out by more adventurous members of the multitool community. To those among us; thanx in advance for your commentary.
