What fusion handled knife is represented in the new Busse Combat logo engraved on the SJ's. Looks like a FSH but the grind lines do not look like my FSH's.

The knife in the logo is saber ground, while the FSH are flat ground. Are the HOGFSH flat ground or saber ground? I cant remember from the one I held. Anyway, cool logo anyway you look at it.

It is a FSH. The non-heavy FSHs do not have a full-height grind. Only the HOFSH have the full flat grind.

The only knife I have it on is my HOFSH, and it clearly is a FSH on it:

FSH does NOT have a full flat grind? We talking the same thing here. For example the Meaner Street has a full flat grind while the Leaner Meaner Street doesn't.... right? I'm looking at pics of my FSH and I'd swear it's a full flat grind... hmmmm, brb......ok I pulled her out just to be sure, maybe it's me and not getting the terminology correct but I don't feel a step where the flat grind stops. The flat goes all the way to the top of the spine. Am I not getting this right....! :(

Solstice, you have the right comparison (MrS vs. LrMrS). As far as the FSH, I am just going by what I read on the Company store webpage. I could be completely wrong. Without looking at one, I can't be certain. Want to send me yours? In the name of science, donchano?

Solstice:
I just looked at my black-coated FSH. There is no distinct grind line visible, but I think that it is there, just under the coating. There is no distinct "step" that I can feel, either. It is so subtle that one could almost conclude that it is full convex. However, look at the vertical line near the handle where the grind begins (I don't know the technical term for it). On a full flat grind, it would go all the way to the top. Mine doesn't.

Wow. I was with Solstice all this time, thinking my FSH had a full flat primary grind. I put my calipers on it, and sure enough, the grind seems to be like the one in the new Busse logo.

I think MikeH hit it on the head - the transition from grind to no-grind is so subtle that I can't see it even when looking for it. Also, now that I'm looking this hard at it, the grind appears to be convex instead of flat! Maybe I'm looking too hard at it. ;) :D

The logo is this FSH, which I believe is one of the prototypes. The FSHs that were delivered have (edited) convex grinds, the HOGFSHs have full flat grinds. Jerry may have plans to release the FSH in this configuration in the future...just my guess.

Put a straight edge on it and I think you'll find that it is convex ;)

:D:D

Great...now I'm at work and have no way of checking out all the cool info everyone posted. I guess I'll quit my job, grab a box of cigars, hang out in the garage with my knives and wait until my wife divorces me.

Or.... I can wait until Friday to check out my FSHs! Hmmmm.... this might be a better plan. :D

Not to sound too picky, but is it a full convex grind or partial? I was kind of assuming it would have to be partial, since the Company Store says the SJ TAC is the first Busse offered with a full convex grind.

I think Woodrat got it. It had to be a FSH but which one? Mine looks like his without the grind lines.
