New ludt

Hello this is my first post . I recently got a Microtech ludt, and I want to know if it should be stored open or closed ? I have some old school stilettos and I was told to store them open. ? Thanks

I store mine closed
You can drop some grease in the mechanism/pivot if you store it for some time

Storing it closed should have no effect on the lifespan of the coil spring. They tell you to store vintage switchblades with the blade open because the springs are often of questionable quality; no such issue with a quality auto made in this century.

What they said. Use, that is, repeated opening and closing, generally wears coil springs out, not storage in one position or the other.
