Greeting folks, just a quick question or two regarding the M1 when being shipped.

Is the M1 shipped out with the knife inserted into the sheath?

and is this typical of the blade condition, supposedly a new knife, but the blade appeared to have some staining and what looks like tape residue, still trying to clean it off now as it looked as if it had been used and just stored into the sheath.

This shows after I have done some cleaning off the blade as I tried to see if it was just light surface gunk but this remains, I am out of flitz which I think would clean it up but was surprised to see this when I opened the box today.

Update the blade was able to be cleaned up so good to go
