New Mach3 razor, vibrates?

Yep,

I was in Kmart picking up sume goodies to ship off to some troops overseas and I just had to treat myself.

I'm not sure if it works better than my normal mach 3 but it did seem tol. My problem is that day to day my shaves are slightly inconsistent so it'll take me a few days to make sure. It does give you a tickling kinda creepy sensation like the hairs on the back of your neck standing up but on your face. I think that's hat it's all about. The razor head loks pretty similar to the normal mach 3 but the lubricant strip seemed a bit more raised.

All in all it was fun enough to pay for and I always like having the newest technology in mass market shaving :D Plus it's all neon green and silver like a Gijoe playset.

My vote is to give it a shot.

I just had to try one as well, and while it makes no difference in closeness, the motion seems to keep it from 'Sticking' in trouble spots... It's just a gimmick out in time for father's day..

After a few days I think that it is doing a better job than the old mach 3. I don't get cut and it is shaving noticeably closer. Then again the brand new ones always work beter than any subsiquent refills, at least for me.

Interesting. Maybe I should attach a vibrator to one of my straight razors and see how that works. :P

Amazing that the advances in sex toy technology may actually help us get laid (smooth face and all). :p

Get the same effect from an elderly barber with shaking hands.......

I have one of these. They really cut close--it's all good. But the absolutely coolest thing about them is that as you shave, they sound like a light sabre from Star Wars-surely someone else has had the same impression.

I really like it. It is less prone to producing nicks IMHO, and since I'm now on daily aspirin, that's a big PLUS!

When I first got mine, I made the mistake of holding the button down to make it vibrate...I was very disappointed in the performance and that the vibration seemed so slow.

The next shave, I found that the button was not a momentary switch, and that if it was pressed and let go, that the vibration was MUCH faster.

As for performance....

I do not know if it is ANY better than the older version, shaving WITH the grain...Sometimes I turn it off when shaving with the grain...

But AGAINST the grain, I find it to be a whole different world...The razor just seems to glide along rather than grate along the surface...

I need to test whether it actually cuts as well against the grain with the vibration as it does without....But it is DEFINITELY more comfortable!

I really like it.
The only problem I have is the price of the blades.

It seems as if every new razor that they come out with has even higher price replacement blades.

They do seem to last longer. I think I read there is some type of coating on the blades to make them stay sharper longer.

Most of them time I shave once a week or maybe twice.
Went two weeks one time and could hardly stand it, lol

At about $20 for a package of replacement blades I'm thinking about just buying a trimmer and keeping it trimmer close.
