Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows if it's legal for me to make a replacement blade for an LM or SAK and sell it. I made one for me out of an old file and fitted it to an old LM. Other people I know have wanted it but I'm not sure if I can go commercial without getting sued.

thanks,

Andre S

I doubt that it would be a problem as long as you don't copy a proprietary design or sell it as a "genuine" LM or SAK part.

I'd love to see some S30v main blade upgrades. I don't know about legal problems that may come up, but not every SAK blade has the same grind (I believe) because of the other tools it is paired up with.

I don't think there would be a problem. There is a Swiss knifemaker (Roger, AKA swissbianco) that offers S30V blades for Victorinox Soldiers and titanium handles for some SAKs, too. His rainbow titanium Classic is awesome.

if you sell it as "second-hand" SAK modified, why would they sue you?:D
Then it's purely a deal between you and the buyer.
