Hi All!
I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Shaerk from Shaerks knives. We are new to the forum. I've been making knives for quite a while now. Actually i made my first knife about 25 years ago. I recently jumped back into the business with my son. We have been working hard to produce some blades that we feel are representative to the craft as we feel it should be. We do not strive to produce sterile mass produced heavily machined looking pieces . Our goal is to make aesthetically pleasing organic hand made pieces. We will be presenting some of our pieces for sale on the fixed blade forum over the next week or so. We hope that everyone will enjoy them.

Thanks for the opportunity,
Shaerk

Hey Daniel,
I've looked at a lot of your stuff. I'm a big fan. I have been all over the forums and youtube looking at what others are doing. Your work really stands out.

Hey there Shaerk! I sent you a VM about maybe crafting me a custom knife if you're interested. I'd really appreciate the advice of an expert knifemaker as yourself. Welcome to the forums!

Hey Knife Dude.
I responded to your message. (I Think) Maybe another time. Hope you understand.

Welcome Shaerk!

Would love to see some of your work! Are there any images online or a website?

This is a a couple that we have in our inventory and are cataloged to produce in various configurations if they are well received.

What are the specs on the first one? What do you charge for a knife like that? Website?

This is our twist on a Bird and Trout style knife in 1095 High Carbon Steel.

Knife is 6-3/4" overall with a cutting blade measuring 3" long, 1" wide and 1/8" thick with an "as forged" finish. The blade is flat ground with a sharp convexed cutting edge.

The handle pictured is made of green canvas micarta attached with stainless pins. I love this knife! They'll be around $100

The custom knifemaker work is THE thing I love most about this place..

Hey cool,

Thanks for the kind words. My first goal in all of this is to be accepted in the custom knifemaker community.

Thanks,
Shaerk
