A few issues back Tactical Knives reviewed some new Marble's knives, including a model with a five inch blade and double guard. I have yet to see this knife offered for sale. Anybody know if or when it will be available ?

Sounds like your talking about the mini-Trailmaker. They were around for a short introduction, and then sadly, Marble's stopped producing them. I heard that they only probably made a couple hundred in each handle material. They are a very cool knife if you can find one. I have one of the bone stag models and it is awesome for the money. If you are interested in one, drop me an email as I know where there is one for sale.

Check out the Blackjack Trailguide III, which I believe is made by Marble's. The Trailguide II (same knife, single guard) has been talked about some around here. Having a hard time talking myself out of a II, since I love the #1-7 CH, but would like a smaller version.
I need another knife like a hole in the head, though.
Anyway, I digest:rolleyes:

It's apparently too much trouble for them to provide any specs other than that the steel is 52100.
mikemck has a II on the for sale forum for a great price. Someone please buy it, and relieve me of the temptation:(

Thanks for the info, guys. In fact I already own a Blackjack Trailguide III, which I bought last summer. It is a fine knife, but I was interested in the Marble's knife because it had a slightly longer blade. Sorry to hear that Marble's dropped the mini-Trailmaker.
