New Material for Knife Handles - Solidwool

Its phenolic. Effectively the same as micarta, g10, fiber glass or carbon fiber with a different filler. I wouldn't say its a new material really, so much as a different version of whats already out there, but it is really neat!

I agree, though, some micarta handles use petrochemical based resins (some people are allergic as well as not the best for environment, I would think) but solidwool claims to use bio-resins.
