AFter much procrastinating, I finally ordered the CUDA Maxx. I ordered the Bowie bladed version. The knife arrived today.

What I like:

Nice heft.

Easy to open.

Fairly sharp - out of box.

What I dislike:

Blade somewhat off center. It doesn't bind on either scale so I guess I'll take a Paxil and try to forget it.

How far off center is it? If it's far enough, you may want to have Camillus correct it.

Blade off-center wehn opened or closed?

Usually an assembly screw-tightening and pivot adjustment will correct this. However, if your pivot is loose enough to flick the blade open, usually your blade will be off-center when closed since the lock-bar's spring tension will put the "loose" blade at an angle.

The blade is off center when closed. There is still clearance between both sides od the scales and the blade. There is no binding.

I would send it back for adjustment but Camillus would probably report me to the men in white coats carrying butterfly nets. It isn't a major fault. Just a minor aggravation.

Willieboy...If you decide that you don't like your new 'Maxx with its' slightly off-centered blade, I have a nice, perfectly centered Spyderco FRN Delica that I'd trade you for it.:D.

Thanks for the offer Glockman. I think I stick with the Maxx. Knowing of your high regard for the REKAT products, I also have one of the special edition Sifu's from the 1 Stop Knife Shop. The first one I had was a perfect example of quality control gone crazy. I exchanged that one for a new SIFU and it is great.

By the way Glockman, I've seen your postings over on Glock Talk fron time-to-time. I am a G26 owner. How about you?
