Hello all,

I'm fairly new to this board and just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed reading the current and past threads. I never knew knifes could be so addicting! It all starts with a simple search for a good camping/ do it all knife. Next thing I know, I have a new RC-6 in hand and I'm wanting more! Every time I use the RC-6, I can't help but thinking (in my best Dundee voice) "that's not a knife, this is a knife!"

I have a feeling more ESEE knives are in my future. Been looking at the Izula and the HEST. Decisions, decisions.. :D

Welcome,

I have an Izula on order.

It's a disease! I ordered two more Izulas for myself yesterday. I don't even need them, but because of the price, they called me like sirens. I have one with new scales still waiting to be used. I hate abusing it from non use. Forgive me, I know not what I do. :( Oh ..... and welcome Broc! :D

Izulas will infest your house like any other type of ant. I brought a pink one into the house as a gift. I may as well have bought a female cat in heat. I just ordered a black one because I have a couple of paracord colors I think will look good as wraps. I'm sure tans and greens will follow for the same reason, and because it's such a handy little knife.

Just like potato chips, you can't stop at one.

I had been looking for a neck knife for quite a while but just never found one I really had to have until I came across the Izula. I knew that I had to have it as soon as I saw it. Little did I know how much I would like it. I went for the RC-4 soon after that and as soon as my taxes are paid, I plan to add a RC-6 and HEST.

Great company also.

How do you like the scales? I think the IZULA is pretty good with paracord, maybe scales for outdoors use?

The scales do feel good in my hands. Also, I think for outdoor use they should be more durable, better grip wise and easier to keep clean. The minor disadvantage would be to find a different way of carrying some paracord; maybe by wrapping it around the sheath instead. :)

Exactly what I thought about the paracord storage. Thanks for your advice and small review

welcome!, the ESEE-6 looks like a formidable blade, and you cant go wrong with an Izula, :D

Rock on, the ESEE 6 is my first as well. Now I just need to decide weather the next one will be bigger or smaller. The Jungalas sure is a beauty, just sayin........

Welcome,
I'm also new here but I feel right at home as you will too. And that feeling about buying more ESEE knives, all I can say is don't fight it...you will lose!

You are a bold man starting out with a RC6. I only recently started with an Izula and love it. I am trying to decide my next purchase, an RC3 or 4. I should not agonize too much because I know I will end up with both anyway.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I went out this afternoon with the RC6 for a walk in the woods. Brought the fire-steel along and built a little fire (just to see if I could do it). The RC6 sure made quick work of chopping some wood. Very pleased with the knife so far, as I'm sure I've just begun to explore the knife's potential. As many of you warned, fighting the urge to buy more ESEE knives just might be useless. I'm already thinking an Izula might be a good knife for the smaller work. Or maybe an RC3... Or maybe a HEST... Or maybe all three could find a purpose at my place. :D
