I am a recently retired US Marine, 21 years, I am devoted family man but I just cant seem to stay out of my little workshop(garage). I am very new to the fine art of blade smithing and recently dabbled in artisan blacksmithing. My son just graduated from the US Air Force Boot camp and my daughter is 12 going on 20, they just grow up so fast. I am here to make new friends and expand my knowledge on bladesmithing, I find myself at ease when I am in my shop grinding away or sanding away by hand, I do suffer from severe PTSD as do many veterans of my era, I have unfortunately been in to many I.E.D attacks and my body and my mind are paying the price, but I wouldn't change a thing, I do wonder why so many lives were lost but yet mine was spared. I am excited about being here and look forward to being reading wonderful knowledge! And for the record, thanks to a lot of useful post and discussions I think I will be purchasing my first real grinder tomorrow, I am going to go with the Pheer unless something has changed recently! I will be giving Brett a call and talking things over, I only have $1387 in my sock drawer tp spend so will see what we can work with on that amount, I am very open to suggestions and recommendations on the tooling accessories. Thanks fellas
