Hello all,

As stated I am a new member from IL. Was lurking on here a while and decided to register and introduce myself. Hope this is a good enough place for that as I didn't see anyplace specific to inros.

I am not entirely new to knives however I am fairly new to quality knives and proper sharpening techniques. Here is a pic of my small knife collection. I am off to browse some more, later all.

Ya got a nice start, I have the same Buck 186, I was playin' with it this morning.

From left to right, a Gerber from a gift tin, cheap knife but will take a shaving sharp edge. Buck Odyssey, favorite knife I have ever personally held. Another Gerber from the same gift tin as the first knife, will also take a shaving edge but dulls quickly. Buck 110, Buck 501 and a Smith and Wesson pocket protector. The fixed blades are a Gerber Bear Grylls survival and the other is a custom made blade that was made for me by someone my uncle knew back in 1987.
 
Welcome aboard. Hang out here much and chances are your collection will get bigger in a hurry.
