Hello everyone!
My name is Andrea and I come from Silea , a village in the province of Treviso , a small town in Italy halfway between Venice and the Dolomites.
My village along the river Sile
First of all I congratulate you for the forum, there are beautiful knives, talented artisans and lots of useful information; so I decided to enroll.
I 'm 29, study and work in the health sector and I have many hobbies about outdoor and nature .
I like mountains , hiking , climbing , fishing , canoeing in rivers and lakes (I live along the banks of the river Sile ) ...... since I was a child I like knives and for some time I started to build them.
I mainly use carbon steel ( 5160 or O2 ) and wood of my zones for the handles and I work both by forging than by stock removing.
These are my forge and my anvil. I inherited the anvil from my grandfather.
This is one of my first forged knives.
This is my belt grinder in my garage.
This is my work-shop.
I do not know what else to tell you , I hope that I presented well . Thank you for your welcome and I cordially greet you from Italy .
Andrea
