  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Hello everyone!

My name is Andrea and I come from Silea , a village in the province of Treviso , a small town in Italy halfway between Venice and the Dolomites.

First of all I congratulate you for the forum, there are beautiful knives, talented artisans and lots of useful information; so I decided to enroll.

I 'm 29, study and work in the health sector and I have many hobbies about outdoor and nature .
I like mountains , hiking , climbing , fishing , canoeing in rivers and lakes (I live along the banks of the river Sile ) ...... since I was a child I like knives and for some time I started to build them.
I mainly use carbon steel ( 5160 or O2 ) and wood of my zones for the handles and I work both by forging than by stock removing.

These are my forge and my anvil. I inherited the anvil from my grandfather.

Thank you very much for welcome :) If you come to Italy you are welcome to my workshop and for a canoa ride in the river Sile :)

I'll extend the same offer to you if you're ever in Seattle. I'll take you around and maybe we can visit some of the makers here in town.
