Hello forum folk!!
I've been looking through the forum for a few weeks doing some research for a new purchase. I saw a lot of good information on here so I decided to join up.
My name is Eric and I live in Gaithersburg Maryland. I've been collecting knives since I was a kid growing up on a farm in Illinois. Unfortunately, a lot of what I had back then has disappeared along the way, but I still have a pretty good collection that I've put together from all over the world.
I've been involved in martial arts Since I was 15, and I'm an instructor in Filipino Kali an Indonesian Pentjak Silat ...both of which have only served to bolster my interest in edged weapons. I'm also an avid shooter and certified firearms instructor. Additionally, I'm an avid outdoorsman, Jeep builder and off-roader.
My long time EDC has been Benchmade, but I think that has recently changed. I found this forum while researching a knife to replace one that I gave away as a gift. I have always wanted a high-end extremely well-made EDC. I blame each and everyone of you for posting positive feedback about Chris Reeve knives. As of 3 o'clock this afternoon I am the proud owner of a brand-new large Sabenza 21 ...and it didn't take me very long playing with it to realize that it is probably worth every penny.
