Hi, I'm Scott and I'm a knife guy... :D
I'm in the SF Bay Area, been interested in knives for most of my life, only recently discovered that I had only scratched the surface in the knife world when I started lurking here about a year ago. Now I have nicer knives, an appreciation of what makes them nicer, a low-grade obsession with sharpening them, and a piece of 1095 I'll be tearing into in the new year. I'm a forum lurker by nature but the people at bladeforums made me want to interact. Thanks for reading, and happy holidays to everyone.

Hey Scott,
Welcome to Blade Forums, thanks for interacting with us.
Happy Holidays to You also.

Good to hear from you. I am a UC Berkeley graduate with family in Marin County. Right On.

Welcome Scott

Have fun with the forum, place all debit & credit cards in a safe place.:D

If anything ever brings you by Fresno, drop by my shop.

Greetings from the central valley!..... Hmmm more area members? Maybe a central CA meet, greet....blade trade?

Welcome!

If you are in the south bay area, I'm in Santa Clara about 3 miles from the 49er's new place.

Ric

Welcome Scott, from an old member from the NEPA area to a new member from Frisco, been awhile since I've been in your neck of the woods.

Check out the traditional sub forum, there's a lot of great people there from all over the world, lots of pics lots of knowledge and lots of great sharing of stories and friendship.

See you around BFC...

Thanks for all the welcomes. Hadn't checked in on this thread in a bit, sorry about the delay. I'm in SSF, on the peninsula. A central coast meet would be fun, hit a good coffee shop and watch them all marvel at our superior weaponry, lol... I really am looking forward to getting to know some other knife people. See you all on the boards!

I used to work in SSF at a biotech company (building was right nest to the CalTrain station), also worked at the Genentech campus as a contractor for a while.

One thing I miss is going to the Subculture Deli (on Spruce, behind Raymond's). Great hot pastrami sandwiches, chili and potato salad there!

Ric
