Hello all. I am new to your wonderful site and love what I see! Lots of good information here.
I have acquired a small collection of Schrade knives and I have a few questions....
1. Is it uncouth or improper to ask the currect value of these knives?
2. Where can I get a book that details these knives, including prices?
Will anybody give me some insight (history, age, rarity or abundance, and values) to the knives I have?
I have several Case knives and can find tons of information on them, but it seems that the reference books I am using do not list, or give enough details about Schrade.
At the risk of overstepping my bounds (forgive me if I am)
The Schrade knives I have are the following:
- Old timer 3" single blade stamped Schrade+ USA 3 OT
(Bolster on only one end, sawcut delrin, near perfect condition)
- Old timer 2 7/8" single blade stamped Schrade USA (no "+") 1201
(blosters on both ends, sawcut delrin, good condition)
- Uncle Henry 2 3/4" three blade Stockman Stamped Schrade USA 807 UH
(stag handle, good condition)
- Uncle Henry 3 1/2" three blade Stamped Schrade USA+ 897 UH
(Signature Premium stock?, looks like stag good condition)
- Yellow Trapper w/clip and spey 4 1/8" Stamped Schrade USA+ 296Y
(Yellow stock handle, near perfect condition - no flaw)
Golden Spike fixed blade stamped Schrade USA (no "+") 153 UH
Stag handle, blade marked Schrade Super sharp
on tang is has the numbers 237849 with sheath (good condition)
- Buch/Schrade Stockman (301?) blade says Buck, made in USA - no
model number 3 7//8" (from my research) this is the third and last
version of Buck/Schrade. Buck is not on the second and third blades
no groved bolsters, has black delrin sawcut handles. This is a Schrade
because there is no pivot rivet through bolsters - I estimate the date
between 1967 - 1970. Very good condition.
Ok, please review and confirm or correct any information I have written.
Thank you for your time and such a wonderful site.
