Hello everyone,

It took me all of maybe 2 minutes after the forums were recommended to me by another member to register and start reading so much I've made my brain swell and swim with information, haha.

I'll admit even though I'm real green to these skills & abilities, I never realized how much I was already aligning myself with it (I've always got some form of equipment around, just never organized and put together into a kit).

Now, I'm starting to organize tools and find information on what next to acquire, or where to improve, and believe me alot of great ideas and information is being imparted through reading through the forums. I look forward to getting my stuff together and gathering the knowledge and ability to put these skill sets to use for myself in the near future.

Thank you for providing a place such as this where like minded individuals can come together and share knowledge, so that people like me can come to learn and then pass it on to others.

welcome brother
lots to learn and read here.
Put the area you live in your profile so when we answer your questions it will be relevant to your climate and terrain.
I could be giving you advice for a kit (I live in coastal rainforest in BC) when you could be in arizona...... big difference.

regards

Welcome aboard, TheZenful1!

You'll find that this is a truly great community, with some really outstanding — and helpful — people. You can learn a lot here: I know I have.

Watch out though — it can be addictive.

Welcome aboard! Both the knives and THIS FORUM are addicting, so WATCH OUT!

Thanks for the heads up Brad, got that changed right away (Midwesterner here, Chicago-ish, Illinois)

Yeah, addictive is an understatement, I've probably spent 15-20 hours here in the last 3 days. And, I would totally agree, from what I have seen so far, people are of an excellent caliber. I'm glad to be here.

Welcome to Bladeforums!

Check out the other subforums, too, especially Gadgets & Gear and ESEE KNIVES (Formerly RAT Cutlery Company), which overlap on kit and outdoor topics.

Welcome to the best knife forum and wilderness sub forum that can be found on the interwebs :D
